2021년 한해도 기도해 주신 동역자 여러분들께 감사드리며  아래와 같이 한해 사역을 간략히 나눕니다.

소개

버마 공동체는 미얀마 국적의 버마인 청년들로 구성되어 있는데 이들은 E-9 고용허가제로 입국한 이주 노동자들로서 불교도들이며 힌두교인이 한두명 있다. 그동안 복음사역을 통해 하나님의 은혜로 얻었던 한 명의 기독교 신자가 미얀마로 귀국함에 따라 지금은 다시 회원 모두가 100% 불신자들로만 구성되어 있는 공동체이다.

 

민뚜 목사는 버마족 불교 집안에서 태어나 청소년 시절 예수를 믿어 집에서 쫓겨난 후 버마족을 향한 부르심에 부응하여 한국에서 신학수업과 함께 버마 노동자 대상으로 사역을 하며 미얀마로 귀국후 사역을 준비하고 있다.

 

현황

1. 금년 2월 1일 발생한 미얀마 군부 쿠데타로 인해 한국에 체류하고 있는 미얀마인들(대부분 E-9 근로자)은 국내 도시 곳곳에서 군부의 쿠데타에 대항하는 평화적 시위를 계속하고 있는데 버마공동체 회원들도 적극적으로 시위에 동참하고 있다. 아울러 민주화 운동에 필요한 자금을 매월 모아 송금하고 있으며 내전이 시작되자 고향에 돌아가 전쟁에 참여할 준비로 일부 회원은 국내 민간단체가 제공하는 군사훈련을 받고 있다.

2. 군부 쿠데타가 발생한 이후 주일 모임을 제대로 갖지 못해왔다. 모두 마음의 큰 고통과 가족에 대한 짐으로 밤잠을 설치며 지내왔으며 동료들과의 만남도 고통스러워했다.

 

3. 고용허가제의 정해진 체류기간이 만료되어 미얀마로 귀국해야 할 회원들은 미얀마 사태로 인한 한국 정부의 배려로 1년 단위로 체류 연장이 가능하게 되었다.

 

4. Facebook 등 SNS를 통해 미얀마 군부에 반대하여 민주화 투쟁에 동참한 민뚜 목사와 회원들이 있다. 이들이 본국으로 귀국할 경우 군부에 의해 체포, 구금될 가능성이 있다.

 

5. 그동안 주일 모임에서 들어왔던 복음에서도 잠시 멀어지는 듯한 상황이다. 코로나19 펜데믹으로 인해 여러 사역들이 중단되어 만남의 교제가 위축되어 있다.

 

6. 민뚜 목사는 횃불트리니티신대원 박사과정에 있으며 2022년에 완료할 목표이다.

 

 

 

Ministry Review of Grace Myanmar Community

- Myanmar Burmese Community -

 

INTRODUCTION

Grace Myanmar Community in Korea was started in the year 2014 as the vision is given to Pastor Min Thu for a mission among Myanmar people, especially Burmese Buddhists in Korea. As the Great Commission of Jesus is sharing the Gospel, GMC firmly stands to carry on the task of sharing the Gospel to the unreached with the Holy Spirit and with the prayers of the saints in Christ. However, GMC ministry mainly focuses on reaching

Myanmar Buddhists only. The vision that GMC carries is as follow:

 

1. -To reach Myanmar people with the Gospel restoring to the Kingdom of God,

2. -To train the new believers with the word of God to become the Christ-centred, and Spirit-filled believers and to grow their spiritual lives, and

3. -To make disciples who have strong desires for serving God and serving people from among those Myanmar people who are matured enough spiritually, Mentally, and Physically to spread the good news.

 

In order to fulfil our God’s given vision, we are dedicated to:

① Go, find and make friendship with Myanmar Buddhist people.

② Contribute the gospel tracts to the people on the main roads, streets or at the stations.

③ Make occasional appointments in several places to meet people those who have free time

④ Use the method of personal evangelization or each one reach one methods (one to one evangelism)

⑤ Try to provide them a place for gathering with food, shelter and take responsibility for their affairs if they are in need.

⑥ Have Korean Language and English classes for those who want to improve their language skills

 

MINISTRY REVIEW FOR THE YEAR 2021

 

1. The year 2021 is the year of sorrow and pain for all Myanmar people in Myanmar and in abroad as well. We Myanmar people face and suffer not only the deadly virus Corona, but also the coup, done by brutal terrorist military junta in February. As the report said, there are more than 1460 people, killed by terrorist military and thousands of people are in prisons and under terrible inspections by the terrorist military. People in Myanmar are living in terror, uncertainty, scare, and anxieties. No one knows what will happen tomorrow. Anything can happen at any time to their lives. Thus, emotional pressures such as depression, fear, worries, and so on are what the people in Myanmar have been suffering. This situation has greatly affected us all Myanmar in Korea as well.

 

2. GMC as a community of Myanmar has shown our oneness with all Myanmar by participating in street demonstrations, giving donations for helping the victims in Myanmar, and speaking out for the freedom and democracy for Myanmar through social media platforms such as Facebook, twitter, and Instagram. The situation in Myanmar is still ongoing, getting worse day by day, and the people of Myanmar are still fighting against the terrorist junta. However, we all Myanmar people do strongly believe that this time we can uproot this terrorist military once and for all from Myanmar. Therefore, as the fight between civilians and terrorist military is ongoing, Myanmar people in foreign countries are trying everything as best as we can by mass demonstrations on the streets, supporting financial needs of NUG and PDF, filing all the crimes, done by terrorist military, and suing them in ICJ (The International Court of Justice) for the crimes against humanity that they commit on purpose.

 

3. In the midst of these situations, GMC tries to stick on its God’s given vision and mission. Since the emotional conditions of Myanmar people are not so well, GMC tried to visit people near and far so often, encourage them, and show them that we are all together in the situation. Due to above mentioned situations, GMC cannot have regular gathering and worship services. However, every twice a month on Saturday and Sunday, five or six people meet regularly at GMC or at outside and have our fellowship together.

 

4. This year, GMC could make two gospel trips for the meeting new people and sharing the gospel in far locations. The first trip was to Sokcho, near Seorak-san in August. GMC group which included four people went there and had wonderful fellowship with new people in Sokcho. And the second trip was to Jeju Island in September. It was the trip for refreshing our mind and body as we are so much burdened physically and psychologically. GMC group of five people went there, had quality time together, and had wonderful fellowship.

 

5. Even though GMC could do everything as we had planned in last year, we could do so many things for God’s kingdom, have good fellowships with other Myanmar Christian communities in Korea and could show that Christians are also with Myanmar Buddhists people and are a part of Myanmar in fighting against the terrorist military for our democracy.

 

 

GMC PLANS FOR 2022

 

In 2022, we have discussed that we will welcome people those who are willing to come and join us again in our fellowship at GMC. We will start our regular language classes again online and offline. Also we will try to visit people near and far if they are willing to receive us as they cannot make their ways to come. Above all, GMC decides that we will continue supporting for the fight for democracy in Myanmar and will do everything for it at any cost.

- My family (My wife and two kids = they are now living in Gangaw where there is severe fight between terrorist military and local PDF. Almost every day, sounds of gun fires and bomb explosion are everywhere near their town and which is why everyone is so scared.)

소개

GMC는 2014년에 Min Thu 목사가 한국이 미얀마 사람들 특히 버마 불교도들 선교를 위해 비전을 받아 시작되었습니다. 예수님의 지상최대명령이 복음을 전하는 것인 것처럼, GMC는 성령과 그리스도 안에 있는 성도들의 기도로 미전도 종족에게 복음을 전하는 사명을 굳건히 감당하고 있습니다. GMC는 미얀마 불교도들을 주 대상으로 사역하고 있습니다.

 

GMC의 비전은 다음과 같습니다.

 

1. 하나님 나라를 회복하는 복음으로 미얀마 사람들에게 다가간다.

2. 새신자들을 하나님의 말씀으로 훈련하여 그리스도 중심, 성령 충만한 성도가 되어 영적인 삶을 성장시키도록 한다.

3. 미얀마인들 중 복음을 전할 만큼 영적으로, 정신적으로, 육체적으로 성숙한 사람들 가운데 하나님을 섬기고자하는 열망으로 가득한 제자를 삼는다.

 

하나님께서 주신 비전을 성취하기 위해 우리는 다음과 같이 헌신합니다.

 

1. 미얀마 불교도들과 만나서 친분을 쌓는다.

2. 큰길, 거리, 역에서 사람들에게 복음지를 전한다.

3. 여가 시간이 있는 사람들을 만나기 위해 여러 장소에서 가끔 약속을 잡는다.

4. 개인전도 방식을 사용하거나 각자가 일대일 전도를 한다.

5. 그들이 모일 수 있는 장소와 음식, 거처를 제공하고 그들이 필요로 하는 경우 그들의 일을 책임진다.

6. 어학능력 향상을 위한 한국어 및 영어 수업을 실시한다.

 

2021년 사역 검토

 

1. 2021년은 국내외 미얀마 국민 모두에게 슬픔과 고통의 해입니다. 우리 미얀마 국민은 치명적인 바이러스 코로나뿐만 아니라 지난 2월 잔혹한 테러리스트 군부가 자행한 쿠데타를 맞고 고통받고 있습니다. 보고서에 따르면 1460명이 넘는 사람들이 테러리스트 군대에 의해 사망했으며 수천 명이 감옥에 수감되어 있으며 테러리스트 군대의 끔찍한 검사를 받고 있습니다. 미얀마 사람들은 공포, 불확실성, 공포, 불안 속에 살고 있습니다. 내일 무슨 일이 일어날지는 아무도 모릅니다. 그들의 삶에서 언제든지 일어날 수 있는 일입니다. 그래서 미얀마 사람들은 우울증, 두려움, 걱정 등의 정서적 압박을 겪고 있습니다. 이러한 상황은 한국에 있는 우리 모두에게 큰 영향을 미쳤습니다.

 

2. GMC는 Facebook, Twitter 그리고 인스타그램과 같은 SNS를 통해 미얀마의 자유와 민주주의를 위해 발언하며 거리 시위에 참여할 뿐 아니라 미얀마 희생자들을 돕기 위한 모금 운동에 동참하며 미얀마 공동체로서 하나됨에 참여하고 있습니다. 미얀마의 상황은 여전히 ​​진행 중이며 나날이 악화되고 있으며 미얀마 사람들은 여전히 ​​테러리스트 군부에 맞서 싸우고 있습니다. 그러나 우리 모든 미얀마 국민은 이번에는 기필코 이 테러리스트 군부를 미얀마에서 완전히 뿌리 뽑을 수 있다고 굳게 믿고 있습니다. 따라서 시민들과 테러리스트 군부 간의 싸움이 진행됨에 따라 재외 미얀마 사람들도 각 나라의 거리에서 대규모 시위를 벌이고 NUG 및 PDF의 재정적 필요를 지원하며 테러리스트 군부가 자행하고 있는 모든 죄악들을 기록하며 고의로 저지르고 있는 반인도적 범죄에 대해 ICJ(국제사법재판소)에 소송을 제기하는 등 최선을 다 해 할 수 있는 모든 일을 하고 있습니다.

 

3. 이러한 상황 속에서도 GMC는 하나님께서 주신 비전과 사명을 지키려고 합니다. 미얀마 사람들의 감정 상태가 좋지 않기 때문에 GMC는 가까운데 있는 사람과 먼 데 있는 사람을 자주 방문하고 격려함으로 이러한 상황에서 우리가 함께 있다는 것을 보여주려고 노력했습니다. 위와 같은 사정으로 GMC는 정기모임과 예배를 드리지 못하고 있습니다. 그러나 한 달에 두 번 토요일과 일요일에는 5~6명이 정기적으로 GMC나 외부에서 만나 교제를 나눕니다.

 

4. 올해 GMC는 새로운 사람들을 만나고 먼 곳에서 복음을 나누기 위해 두 차례의 복음 여행을 할 수 있었습니다. 첫 여행은 8월 설악산 인근 속초였습니다. 4명으로 구성된 GMC 그룹이 그곳에 갔고 속초에서 새로운 사람들과 멋진 교제를 했습니다. 그리고 두 번째 여행은 9월에 제주도로 갔습니다. 육체적으로 또 정신적으로 많이 지쳐있던 몸과 마음을 상쾌하게 하는 여행이었습니다. 5명의 GMC 그룹이 그곳에 가서 함께 좋은 시간을 가졌고 멋진 교제를 나누었습니다.

 

5. 비록 GMC가 작년에는 계획한 모든 것을 할 수 있었지만, 부족하나마 금년에는 하나님의 나라를 위해 여러 일을 할 수 있었고 한국의 다른 미얀마 기독교 공동체와 좋은 교제를 할 수 있었고, 기독교인도 미얀마 불교도들과 함께하고 있다는 것과 민주주의를 위해 테러리스트 군부와 싸우는 미얀마의 일부인 것을 보여줄 수 있었습니다.

 

2022년 GMC 계획

 

2022년에 우리는 GMC에 와서 교제의 모임에 함께 할 의향이 있는 사람들은 누구든지 환영할 것입니다. 우리는 온라인과 오프라인에서 정규 어학 수업을 다시 시작할 것입니다. 또한 GMC를 방문하기 어려운 먼 곳에 있는 친구들이지만 우리를 기꺼이 환영한다면 그들을 방문하기위해 노력할 것입니다. 무엇보다 GMC는 미얀마의 민주화를 위한 투쟁을 계속 지원하기로 결정하고 어떤 희생을 치르더라도 이를 위해 최선을 다할 것입니다.
