이란의 지속적인 평화를 위한 성명서

(An Edict for Lasting Peace in Iran)

과거에도 계셨고 지금도 계시며 장차 오실 분의 이름으로. 그분은 모든 것 위에 계시며, 모든 것보다 먼저 계신 분이다. 만물이 그분에게서 나오고, 그분을 통하여 존재하며, 그분을 위하여 있으며, 그분 안에서 모든 것이 유지된다. 그분은 영원하신 분이시다. 육신으로 나타나셨으나 죄가 없었고, 성령으로 의롭다 하심을 받았으며, 천사들에게 증거되셨고, 세상 가운데 믿어졌다. 그분은 지극히 높으신 분이요, 주권자이며, 능력의 주이며, 모든 것 위에 최고의 통치자이시다.

 

오직 그분만이 경배받기에 합당하시다. 그분은 능력을 받기 위하여 죽임을 당하셨고, 이제 부활하셔서 모든 부요와 지혜와 능력과 존귀가 그분께 속해 있다. 그분은 자비와 은혜와 진리가 충만하신 분이시다. 그분은 영원한 심판자이며, 죄를 용서하실 권세를 가진 분은 오직 그분뿐이. 그분의 거룩한 이름이 찬송을 받으시기를 바란다.

 

그분의 이름은 예수이며, 그분은 하나님이시다.

 

우리의 구주이신 하나님 예수님의 은혜와 평강이 여러분에게 있기를 바란다.

 

이 성명서는 이란 전역에 있는 52 기독교 지도자들이 연합하여 함께 발표한 것이다.

 

우리 메시아의 말씀과 같이, “화평하게 하는 자는 복이 있나니 그들이 하나님의 아들이라 일컬음을 받을 것이다.” 지난 600년 동안 우리 나라의 백성들은 악의 압제 아래 고통을 받아 왔다. 오늘 우리는 우리 땅에 평화가 임하기를 기도하고 있다. 우리는 전 세계의 모든 예수의 제자들에게 요청한다. 우리나라를 악에서 구하고, 우리 땅의 모든 가족과 모든 부족, 모든 언어와 모든 민족이 우리 하나님이시며 왕이신 예수님을 예배하고 존귀하게 하도록 이 일에 함께해 주기를 요청한다.

 

“의인이 부르짖으매 여호와께서 들으시고 그들의 모든 환난에서 건지시는도다.”— 시편 34:17

 

이란 사람들의 마음과 생각을 지배해 온 모든 폭력, 테러, 그리고 온갖 악이 끝나도록 기도해 주시기를 바란다. 평화의 왕의 통치가 없이는 참된 평화가 있을 수 없다.

 

그러므로 우리는 전 세계의 믿는 자들에게 이란의 모든 사람을 위해 중보해 줄 것을 요청한다. “그러므로 내가 첫째로 권하노니 모든 사람을 위하여 간구와 기도와 도고와 감사를 하되 임금들과 높은 지위에 있는 모든 사람을 위하여 하라 이는 우리가 모든 경건과 단정함으로 고요하고 평안한 생활을 하려 함이라.” — 디모데전서 2:1-6

 

우리는 이란의 모든 종교 지도자들과 정치 지도자들을 예수의 이름으로 기도해 주시기를 요청한다. 지극히 높으신 하나님께서 표적과 기적과 꿈과 환상을 통해 그들에게 개입하셔서 그들이 하나님과 인간 사이의 유일한 중보자이신 예수 안에서 구원을 발견하도록 그리고 모든 사람이 죄의 용서와 수치로부터의 자유를 발견하고 모든 사람의 대속물이 되신 예수 앞에 겸손히 나아가도록 기도해 주시기를 부탁한다.

 

지금은 우리의 “카이로스(Kairos)의 순간”이다. 이 기회를 우리는 결코 놓쳐서는 안 된다. 우리의 마음에는 지금 9천만 명의 고통받는 형제자매들을 향한 부담이 있다. 영과 육체로 깊이 고통받고 있는 그들에게 복음이 전해져야 한다. 우리는 또한 미래가 빼앗기고 폭력과 죽음으로 이끌리고 있는 수많은 어린이들을 구해야 한다. 하나님의 자비로 예수님의 말씀을 기억하며 “어린 아이들이 내게 오는 것을 막지 말라”는 말씀처럼 그들의 마음과 삶과 미래가 하나님의 나라 안에서 회복되도록 해야 한다.

 

우리는 또한 다음 세대를 그들이 들어온 거짓과 절망으로부터 구해야 한다. 수백만 명의 젊은 남녀가 사랑하는 사람을 잃고 희망이 무너지는 것을 보았다. 그들은 폭력과 악과 전쟁의 미래를 살아가도록 정해진 존재들이 아니다. 우리는 기도한다. 이란에서 다시 에스더와 다니엘 같은 세대가 일어나 지극히 높으신 하나님을 높이고 우리 구주이신 왕 예수 안에 있는 구원을 선포하기를 기도한다.

 

이제 우리가 하나가 되어 평화를 위해 싸우며 사랑의 통치가 모든 이란 사람들의 마음에 자유를 가져오도록 기도하자. 이 요청이 이란의 모든 마을, 모든 도시, 모든 언어 공동체 가운데 실현될 때까지 계속 기도하자.

 

 

An Edict for Lasting Peace in Iran

In the name of The One Who Was, Who Is, and Who is To Come. Who is above all and before anything that was. All things are from Him, through Him, for Him, and in Him, are held together. He is Eternal. Manifest in the flesh, but with no sin, justified in the Spirit, witnessed to by angels, believed on in the world, He is the Most High, the Sovereign, the Powerful, and Supreme over all.

 

He alone is worthy of adoration. He was slain to receive power. Now resurrected, all riches, wisdom, strength, and honor belong to Him. He is full of mercy, grace, and truth. He is the Eternal Judge, and He alone has the power to forgive sins.

 

Blessed be His Holy Name. His name is Jesus, and He is God.

 

May the Grace and Peace of Our Savior, Jesus, who is God, be upon you.

 

This edict is from the leadership of 52 Jesus Kingdom movements throughout Iran. 
 
 In the words of our Messiah, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God.” For the last 600 years, the peoples of our country have suffered under the oppression of evil, and today we are praying for peace to come to our land. We request that every Jesus follower on earth join with us in this opportunity to rescue our nation from evil and to build up every family, tribe, language, and people in our land to worship and honor Jesus, our God and King.

 

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them, He delivers them from all their troubles. Psalm 34:17

 

Pray for the end of violence, terror, and all kinds of evil that have controlled the hearts and minds of the people of Iran. There can be no peace without the rule of the Prince of Peace, and we call on believers everywhere to intercede on behalf of every person in Iran. 
 


 

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. (1 Timothy 2:1-6) We ask for prayer by name, for each of the religious and political leaders of Iran. Ask the Most High God to intervene through signs, wonders, dreams, and visions that they might find salvation in Jesus - the one mediator between God and humankind.

 

We ask for every person to f ind forgiveness for sin and freedom from shame by humbling themselves before Jesus, who is the ransom for all people.

 

This is our “kairos” moment and we must not miss this. In our hearts we carry the burden of reaching all 90 million of our brothers and sisters who are now badly suffering in spirit and body. We must rescue thousands of children whose future lives have been taken from them and directed toward violence and death. Together, by the mercy of God, let us hear the words of Jesus and “let the children come,” restoring their hearts, their lives, and their future into God’s kingdom.

 

We must also rescue this next generation from the lies they have been told and the hopelessness that has settled over millions of these young men and women. Many have lost loved ones, seen their hopes destroyed, and they do not deserve a future of violence, evil, and war. We pray for a generation of Esthers and Daniel to rise up again from Iran and exalt the Most High God and the salvation available through Jesus our Savior King.

 

Now let us unite and contend for peace and the rule of love to find freedom in the hearts of all Iranians. Let us pray until this request has become a reality in every village, every town, every city, and among every language group in Iran.
